How we score each brand

Scan the top-trafficked pages

For each brand we run AEOlens against the homepage plus the top 10 most-trafficked pages identified via the brand's sitemap. Pages crawled the same week; same Chromium render path; same checks.

48 structural signals

Every page is scored on the same 48 checks — content (BLUF, direct-answer density, entity coverage), technical (robots.txt, llms.txt, SSR, canonical), schema (FAQPage, Organization, breadcrumbs), and structure (heading hierarchy, table of contents, lists). Scores are weighted by the citation-impact each check measurably has across the 5 buyer-simulation models.

Aggregate to a brand score

The brand score is the median page score with a small floor effect for pages that block AI crawlers (those count as zero, not as null — being blocked is a result).

Publish + diff month-over-month

Edition refreshes ship the first week of each quarter. Brands that gained ≥3 points get the green ▲ marker; ≥3 lost gets the red ▼. We name the strongest signal each brand is doing well (so other readers know what to copy) and the failing checks dragging it down.
