Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 May 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how AEOlens ("AEOlens," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and otherwise processes personal information when you visit aeolens.ai, create an account, run an audit, or use any related AEOlens services that link to this policy.

In this policy, "personal information" means information that identifies you or that can reasonably be linked to you. By using our services, you acknowledge the practices described below. Your use of AEOlens is also subject to our Terms of Service.

This policy applies when AEOlens acts as a controller of personal information for its own website, product, support, billing, and communications activities. It does not apply to the extent we process information solely on behalf of a customer under a separate customer relationship, where that customer determines the purposes and means of processing.

Personal information we collect

We collect personal information from you directly, automatically when you use the service, and from service providers that support account creation, billing, delivery, and infrastructure.

Information you provide to us. When you create an account, request a demo, contact support, join a workspace, or subscribe to a paid plan, we may collect information such as your name, email address, organisation name, billing contact details, and the contents of any communications you send to us.

Account and authentication information. We collect the information needed to create and maintain your AEOlens account, including your email address and authentication method. We do not store passwords because authentication is handled through passwordless and delegated sign-in methods.

Audit and workspace information. When you run an audit or use monitoring features, we collect and store the URL scanned, the resulting structural checks, AEO scores, recommendations, project settings, monitoring history, and related workspace metadata needed to provide the service.

Usage, device, and log information. We automatically receive information about how you access and use our services, such as IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, pages viewed, referring URLs, timestamps, and product interaction events.

Billing information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor collects the payment information required to complete the transaction. AEOlens does not store full card numbers or other complete payment credentials, but we do store subscription status, plan tier, and related billing metadata.

Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember session state, measure product usage, and understand how visitors use the website. For more information, see the Cookies section below.

How we use personal information

We do not sell personal information. We do not use customer audit data to train public AI models. We do not disclose personal information except as described in this policy.

Legal bases for processing

Where applicable under the laws of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or similar jurisdictions, we process personal information on one or more of the following legal bases: to perform a contract with you, to comply with legal obligations, with your consent where required, and for our legitimate interests in operating, securing, improving, and supporting the service where those interests are not overridden by your rights.

How we disclose personal information

We disclose personal information to the categories of recipients listed below when necessary to operate AEOlens and fulfill the purposes described in this policy:

We may also disclose information in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganisation, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar corporate transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal safeguards.

Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain your account, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and support legitimate business operations. Account and workspace records are generally retained for the life of the account. If you request account deletion, we will delete or de-identify personal information within a reasonable period unless longer retention is required by law or needed for security, fraud prevention, or legal claims. Aggregate or de-identified analytics information may be retained for longer.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information, and to object to certain processing activities. You may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@aeolens.ai. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, maintain session state, remember preferences, understand how the website and product are used, and improve performance. Some cookies are strictly necessary for authentication and security. Others help us understand usage patterns and product performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but some features of the service may not function properly if essential cookies are disabled.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. No internet-based service can be completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's privacy

AEOlens is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 years of age. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

International data transfers

AEOlens and the service providers we use may process personal information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we take steps designed to ensure that cross-border transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards and handled in accordance with applicable law.

Third-party websites and services

Our website and product may link to third-party websites, services, or resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing personal information to them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated version here and, where appropriate, provide additional notice such as by email or in-product notice. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
